The Great Wall Marches
Legends tell of ancient fortresses, impenetrable citadels where no force could breach their towering walls. But in the presence of Arcades, the Strategist, these walls do not simply stand—they advance. They become the army. They crash down upon enemies like an unrelenting tide of stone and steel. Where others see obstacles, Arcades sees warriors of endurance, soldiers that defy logic itself—unbreakable, unyielding, and yet utterly unstoppable in battle.
This deck transforms defenders into conquerors, turning their immense toughness into devastating power. It is a deck where fortifications become formations, citadels become sieges, and bastions become battering rams.
The Vanguards of Stone and Arcane
In the armies of Arcades, the greatest warriors are not flesh and blood, but unbreakable sentinels, their forms forged from pure endurance. Under his command, these immovable bastions become an unstoppable force, striking not with swords and spears, but with their own sheer resilience.
Wall of Denial – A spectral bulwark that floats above the battlefield, untouchable by magic or steel, ensuring that nothing can pierce your defenses. Wall of Blossoms & Wall of Omens – Each fortress brings knowledge as it rises, allowing you to peer into the future and replenish your reserves. Overgrown Battlement & Axebane Guardian – Ancient ramparts infused with primal energy, channeling mana like the roots of an ancient world tree, ensuring the tide of war never ceases. Shield-Wall Sentinel – A messenger of the bastion, summoning reinforcements from the depths of forgotten strongholds. Wingmantle Chaplain – The skybound architect, crafting an endless legion of watchful wings, a divine host of guardian spirits.
Each defender that rises is not just a shield—it is a blade.
Breaking the Chains
Walls were meant to stand, not to march—until now. Arcades is the key that unlocks their true potential, but even without him, the march of the fortresses does not falter.
High Alert – A battle decree that shatters ancient laws, lifting the shackles from defenders and unleashing their full power. Assault Formation – The strategic breakthrough, where what once was defense becomes a crushing advance, bending the very rules of war. Huatli, the Sun's Heart – A champion of the ancient ways, who sees strength not in aggression, but in endurance—turning sheer willpower into overwhelming force.
Even without Arcades, the march does not stop. The fortresses rise, and they advance.
A War of Attrition
Most armies fear the wrath of fire and steel—but what of an avalanche of stone and magic? This deck thrives where others fall, wielding the power of selective destruction.
Slaughter the Strong & Fell the Mighty – As enemies clash upon the walls, their greatest champions crumble, unable to stand against the unwavering might of the bastion. Expel the Interlopers – A final decree that banishes the unworthy, ensuring that only the fortified and the strong endure. Austere Command – A strategic reckoning, shattering what is unnecessary and preserving what is eternal. Dusk // Dawn – The fall and the rise—a massacre for those who rely on brute strength, and a resurrection for those who stand tall in resilience.
The battlefield is a war of attrition, and Arcades ensures that only the strongest remain standing.
The Finishing Blow
The walls have awakened, but how does an army of fortresses strike first? How do bastions crash down upon the enemy with swiftness and fury?
Crashing Drawbridge & Walking Bulwark – The great citadels shake off the dust of centuries and charge into battle. No longer do they wait—they strike. Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive – A master of the unseen, allowing your unassuming battlements to slip past enemy lines, striking with impunity. Tower Defense – When the battle rages at its peak, the walls do not fall—instead, they rise even higher, crashing down in a wave of unimaginable force. Stalwart Shield-Bearers – The architects of resilience, reinforcing the bastions, ensuring that every strike lands harder, and every wall stands taller.
When the time is right, the citadel marches forward, and nothing can withstand its charge.
The Keepers of Knowledge
Stone does not speak, but it remembers—and through its forgotten wisdom, Arcades ensures the march never falters.
Wall of Mulch – The ritual of sacrifice, trading ancient bastions for insight into the tides of battle. Rigo, Streetwise Mentor – The clever tactician, ensuring that every silent strike is recorded, every flaw in the enemy’s defense exploited. Sevinne's Reclamation – The return of lost wisdom, ensuring that what is forgotten is reclaimed, and what is abandoned is restored. Cosmic Rebirth – The immortal decree, returning any lost fortress, at the most crucial moment.
The great bastions of knowledge ensure the war never ceases, and Arcades always has the wisdom to press forward.
The Eternal Guardians
Arcades does not march alone. Three champions walk beside him, their wills as unbreakable as the very walls they command.
Teyo, the Shieldmage – The Ward of Gobakhan, whose very presence weaves a veil of protection, ensuring that the army of walls remains untouchable. Huatli, the Sun's Heart – The Voice of the Colossus, who sees that endurance is might, and power is measured not in strength, but in resilience. Ajani Unyielding – The Great Guardian, who strikes down the enemy’s champions, while guiding his own forces to ever-greater heights. His ultimate decree ensures that every fortress ascends, turning the walls into divine warriors of unstoppable might.
Together, they are the Immortal Bastion, an army of unshakable resolve.
The Legacy of the Bastion
This deck is not simply about survival—it is about domination through endurance. It is about watching the enemy break against the walls, and then turning those very walls into the unrelenting tide that drowns them.
The stronghold does not fall.
The battlements do not break.
And when the moment is right—the citadel marches forward, and the world itself shakes beneath its step.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Jillian West and her books!!! I’m so happy I already bought book two and now I have to buy the others for the Assurance Security series!! Not gonna lie Val kind of annoyed me at the beginning but she grew on me!! Her men are chef’s kisses!!! Holt annoys me some but I can let it slide. I already bought part two so I’m going to be reading that in between work phone calls!!!! DON’T TELL MY BOSS 😂😂😂😂

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.
